The power of mantras
Mantra’s are a close cousin to affirmations. Both encourage an optimistic mindset, motivate you, inspire positive change and boost self-esteem.
They can also focus you on the positive during tough times. A mantra that I use regularly when I work to persevere through particularly difficult situations is, “This too shall pass.” It was handed down from my mother and is a good reminder that the crappy experience will end at some point, and I can handle it.
Listed below are other mantras I have leaned on over the years.
I am enough. Who I am is enough. What I do is enough. And what I have is enough.
I am exactly where I need to be.
My challenges will bring a better me.
Big journeys begin with small steps.
It’s not what you cannot do but what you can do.
Great things never came from comfort zones.
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
I can do this.
The key thing to remember is that with enough repetition, you will feel differently about yourself or the situation. Then you will start to think and believe differently, which ultimately leads you to act alternatively. The result is that more positive experiences will manifest in your life.
What mantras do you rely on?
